What sizes do you have and how big of a space do I need?

We have over 40 differently sized units at our facility, some are temperature regulated, some high extra high ceilings, some have a loft inside, some are drive ups, some are beautifully designed wardrobe spaces. With so much variety to choose from, our staff is here to assist you in selecting the unit size that best suits your needs. What differentiates Goleta Valley Self Storage from others?

We are a family -plain and simple. We sincerely appreciate your business and offer the friendliest office staff & the greatest grounds crew around. We’re proactive about maintenance and strive to provide the cleanest and safest storage facility possible. What are the rental terms?

Our rentals are month to month, we simply ask for a 30-day notice before leaving your unit. During busy seasons, we may require a minimum rental term depending on the unit size.

When are you open?

Our office is open Monday - Saturday 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. When you become a tenant, you have access to your unit 7:00 am – 7:00 pm Monday – Sunday with the exception of the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Additionally we close early on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

What if I need to access my storage after hours?

If you ever need access after hours, simply call beforehand during regular business hours and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.

Where can I buy boxes? Do I need to bring a lock?

We carry boxing and packing supplies in our retail space. We also offer locks but you may bring your own. If bringing your own lock, please verify with the office so that we can register your lock for our daily lock checks.

Are the upstairs units hard to get to?

We strive to make rentals and moving in as easy as possible for you. We offer freight elevators and complimentary use of our carts and dollies.

How do I change my address?

Please log into your account or email our office with your updated information.

How do I authorize use of, or update my credit card?

You can make changes to your credit card using our online system. Log in to access your account and update your payment settings. If you are an existing customer and have not yet received your user name and password please click "forgot password" on the log-in screen and set up a new one, or call us if you need any help.

May I pay my bill online?

Absolutely! Simply log-in to access your account, then click the "Make Payment" button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. May I reserve a space for the summer?

Yes, you can, please call our office. Units are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Returnees also enjoy a sign-up discount!

What is your vacate policy?

Our vacate policy states that you MUST give a 30 day written notice. We can take your notice over the phone, but still require something in writing (meaning the date will start when you actually call us, not when you actually sign). Furthermore, we will prorate the charge if your vacancy extends into part of the next month, rather than charging you for the full month. There is no penalty for extending or cancelling your move-out date. We welcome you to stay as long as you like!

Do you store RVs or have outdoor storage?

In order to adhere to our strict “no food, no flammables” policy, we prohibit the storage of motor vehicles at our facility. This is out of consideration for our existing customers, who trust us to keep their belongings safe, clean, and vermin-free. That said, we hope to provide you with outdoor storage someday, so please stay tuned and visit often.
